Herbal Tea Consult

Your body is precious. It is a vehicle for awakening. Treat it with care.
~Siddharthe Gautama Buddha
My approach to healing is a means of facilitating optimal wellness, in whatever form or shape that takes for each person. Context is essential. In its intelligence and compassion, the earth provides a multitude of solutions to the pain and suffering that are part of life. One of the great blessings of the growing season is the ability to use herbs fresh for medicine and food. Yet for year round care, ease, and convenience, I find excellent therapeutic success working with dried, whole plants as tea blends.
There is a self-nurturing and self-nourishing aspect to making oneself a pot of tea. That part of the process of slowing down and caring for oneself is an integral aspect of healing. Water is a primary vehicle in herbalism. Many plants’ medicinal properties are highly soluble in water. Water-based herbal preparations include teas, infusions, and decoctions. A tea is made by pouring a cup of boiling water over a heaping teaspoon of plant material and steeping it from five to thirty minutes.
Ritual is routine infused with mindfulness. It is habit made holy.

I work best when I get to know folks, hear about their life, what they love, what gets under their skin, what they eat, and what brings them joy. I encourage cultivating habits that are in balance with the natural stages and rhythms of one's life and environment. Plant remedies, as in any good medicine, are as personal as skin and flower and as deep as root and song.
Since we are not meeting in person, we will have a phone consult that will last approximately thirty minutes. I will email you a group of questions for your consideration previous to our scheduled consult to facilitate our time together on the phone. Your unique, personal tea blend price will be determined and charged when sent to you. I look forward to our collaboration.
Let thy food be thy medicine and thy medicine be thy food.
